How do Schedules work?
Mobicip’s new ‘Schedule’ feature lets you manage the time your child spends on his/her mobile device. You will be able to set customized schedules for your child with access to specific apps and websites at specific times.
By default, Mobicip offers two preset schedules - School and Sleep. You can always add a new schedule, customize, or disable an existing schedule in the Scheduling tab on your Mobicip app. For each schedule, you can set the time, select the days when the schedule needs to be active, block specific apps, websites and web categories during the scheduled time. You can add as many schedules as you need and even enable the option to ‘Block all Content’ during a schedule.
There are few pointers you need to keep in mind while setting up schedules for your children.
- The customized settings you have under the ‘Daily Free Time’ section will not apply to Mobicip preset schedules (School and Sleep). During the School schedule, by default, apps related to social media, entertainment and games are blocked; as are shopping websites. You have the option to edit the School schedule and manually change these settings based on your needs.
- Settings you have under ‘Daily Free Time’ will be applied only during free time. Likewise any setting changes you made under a schedule will be applied only during that schedule. So, please make sure you change the Free Time and Schedule settings individually.
- Request to access a website made by your child and approved by you during a specific schedule will apply only for that schedule. This functionality works the same for free time too i.e. any website access request made and approved during free time will be applied only during free time.
