How to set up Schedules & Vacation mode?

Every family has its own rhythm—school hours, homework time, playtime, and bedtime. Mobicip Schedules help you shape screen time around what works best for your child.

What are Mobicip Schedules?

The all-new Mobicip Schedules give you the flexibility to choose whether the default rules you set, apply on your child’s devices - the apps, web and screen time settings you have set for them or if they need separate, custom restrictions during specific times of the day. It’s simple, flexible and designed to fit your family’s routine.

How do they work?

By default, Mobicip applies your regular apps, web and screen time settings (set under Rules) all day, including during scheduled times. This keeps things consistent and easy to manage.

If you need more personalization, you can turn the schedule into a Managed Schedule. A managed schedule lets you apply different rules during the schedule period, such as:

• Giving extra screen time (on top of the daily limit)
• Setting custom app and web rules
• Blocking all screen Time

This allows you to set things up the way you prefer, whether you’re setting a simple daily routine or creating a completely customized digital schedule for your child.

How to Add and Set Up Schedules:

1. Open the Mobicip Parent app or log in on the web.
2. Go to Rules > Schedules.
3. Tap the “+” icon at the top right to create a new schedule.

4. Name the schedule, choose the days it should apply and set the start and end times.

   

5. To customize access during this period, turn on Managed Schedule. Here, you can block screen time entirely or set custom apps & web rules specifically for this schedule.

   

6. Save and your schedule is ready!

Here’s what else you can do with Mobicip Schedules:

• View all active schedules on the Mobicip Calendar. Children can also see their schedules on the Mobicip app on their device.

• Duplicate a schedule and assign it to another child to save time.
• Edit or delete schedules anytime as your family’s routine changes.

Vacation Mode: A little extra freedom for special days

Whether it’s a holiday, a family trip, or a special weekend, Vacation Mode allows you to temporarily pause all active rules and schedules, giving your child a little extra flexibility.

Turn it on when needed and turn it off when you're back to your normal routine or simply set an end date. All your rules and schedules will automatically resume exactly as you originally configured them.

How to Set Up Vacation mode:

1. Open the Mobicip Parent app or log in on the web.
2. Go to Rules > Vacation Mode.

3. Turn On > Choose when it should turn off automatically > Proceed.

   

You can also customize daily screen time, sleep time and app & web settings within Vacation Mode, if you’d like to fine-tune what your child can access during this time.
