My Child has iOS device and I have an Android. How to setup Family Sharing?

The Mobicip iOS app is the first parental control solution built using Apple’s Screen Time Framework, which allows it to use Apple’s built-in restrictions, device activity insights and core safety tools.

This means, you get the most reliable and deeply integrated parental controls possible on an iPhone or iPad. Since this version is officially enforced by Apple, your child cannot easily remove, bypass or work around the controls, giving you real peace of mind.

To install Mobicip on your child’s iOS device, you’ll first need to turn on Apple Family Sharing. This is mandatory for Mobicip to work seamlessly for your family.

If your child’s device is the only Apple device at home and you use an Android phone, please follow the steps below to set up Mobicip:

1. Create an Apple ID for yourself (Mobicip account owner) in the Apple account page. 
2. Open the Settings app on your child’s iOS device.

3. Sign out of your child’s Apple ID (if it’s already logged in).

   

4. Sign in with the Apple ID you created in the previous step on your child’s device
5. Turn on Family Sharing in your parent account and add your child’s Apple ID to the Family sharing group. Learn more.
6. Sign out of the parent Apple ID and sign back in with your child's Apple ID.
7. Ensure the age of your child in their Apple ID is under 18. Learn more.
8. Follow our set up guide to finish installing and configuring the Mobicip app.

Parent Tip: For a smoother experience when installing apps later, we recommend keeping “Ask to Buy” turned off in both Family Sharing and the Mobicip child app menu. This helps prevent unnecessary approval prompts.

Once you’ve completed the set up, you can monitor and manage your child’s settings from any device. Login to the web or install the Mobicip app and set up in parent mode on your Android phone.
