Lakshmi

Lakshmi is a ‘working mother,’ a clichéd phrase she believes to be tautology. On the professional front, she has been a science writer for about two decades and is still nerdy enough to be excited about inventions, discoveries and developments. As a mother, also for about two decades, she has raised a charming daughter in the digital era. The daughter is an adult now, but Lakshmi is still learning about parenting a digital native. Being a writer, she can’t help sharing what she learns with those who seek answers and solutions to parenting issues.

Credentials

Lakshmi is a science writer with two decades of experience and a lifelong love for all things nerdy. As a mother of a grown digital native, she’s still learning—and sharing—what it means to parent in the screen age. She believes “working mother” is a tautology and thinks curiosity is the best parenting tool.

Mission

Lakshmi believes parenting in the digital age takes tolerance, tactical timeouts, and tea. Lots of tea. Her mission: turn tech talk into practical parenting wisdom—minus the jargon. She helps parents navigate screen time and social media with confidence (and a sense of humor). If she’s learned it, she’s shared it. If not, she’s probably writing about it right now.
