What has changed in the new app version?

We’ve redesigned the Mobicip app to deliver a faster, simpler, and more flexible experience for managing your family’s digital routines. Here’s what’s new in the latest version. 

What’s New in the Latest Mobicip App

• Highlights to show your child’s activity
• Quick Controls icon for instant actions
• Notifications section for alerts and updates 
• New Rules section to set up custom filters all in one place
• Enhanced App controls that allows you to set individual app limits
• Improved Schedules with a calendar view & Vacation Mode
• My Family section for managing devices and child profiles

Highlights: Your Child’s Activity at a Glance

Your Mobicip Dashboard is now called Highlights and gives you a quick overview of your child’s daily activity in one place. You can:

• View the currently active schedule
• See Daily Screen Time and Managed Screen Time used (managed screentime is productive screen time used during a managed schedule and is tracked separately from the daily screen time)
• Access the Activity Timeline quickly
• View screen time used for the day, week, and month
• View most used apps, app categories, and the day's schedules

Highlights also introduces the new Quick Controls icon for faster access to frequently used actions.

Quick Controls: Important Actions Made Easier

The new Quick Controls icon helps you manage your child’s device instantly without navigating through multiple screens. You can now quickly:

• Edit Today’s Free Time
• Lock the devices instantly
• Start Family Time
• Turn Vacation Mode on or off

Notifications: Alerts Are Now Easier to Find 

Your child’s blocked activity information, requests, and important updates are now organized under the Notifications section, making it easier to keep track of approvals, alerted device activity, and other important events from your child’s device.

Rules: All Controls in One Place

All content and screen time settings are now organized under a dedicated Rules section, making it easier to manage your child’s digital experience from one place.

With Rules, you can manage: 

• Daily Screen Time 
• Sleep Time 
• Web filtering
• Apps
• Schedules
• Vacation Mode settings
• Locations
• Networks
• Social Media monitoring

Improved Web Controls:

Web settings now include:

• Categories
• Websites
• Keywords

A new info icon at the top right explains what each web category blocks, helping you make more informed choices. 

Enhanced App Controls:

You can now:

• Block or limit individual apps
• Block or limit screen time spent on app categories Social Media, Entertainment, and Games
• View apps used by your child directly in the Apps list

These updates make it easier for you to see how your child spends time on apps, set time limits, and block time spent on specific apps. 

Improved Schedules:

The all-new Schedules feature gives you more flexibility to create routines that fit your family.

You can:

• Create schedules using your existing Rules and screen time settings
• Turn on Managed Schedule to set separate app and web restrictions and grant additional screen time during that schedule. Create schedules for activities like school, and homework to ensure mindful learning, healthy habits and track the time spent on such productive activities separately in your Highlights. 
• Duplicate one child’s schedule to another child, making it easier to set up similar routines across the family without repeating the same steps.

The new Schedules Calendar gives you a complete view of active schedules and Sleep Time settings in one place.

Smarter Vacation Mode:

Vacation Mode now supports:

• Custom settings for daily screen time, sleep time, apps and web
• Future start and end dates
• Quick access to turn on/off the mode from the Quick Controls icon

This makes it easier to temporarily relax routines during holidays, trips, or special occasions.

Improved Location Tracking:

The updated Locations section makes it easier to manage and monitor important places for your child.

You can now:

• Save new places to receive alerts
• View/Edit saved locations

All from one convenient locations management screen.

My Family: Manage Devices & Family Members Easily

The new My Family section helps you manage:

• Registered family devices
• Child profiles
• Family members and co-parents

Family Locator also lets you view all family members together on a single map for family tracking and coordination.

Along with these updates, the new Mobicip app also includes several performance improvements, smoother navigation, and overall usability enhancements to help manage your family’s digital world easier every day.
