What is blocked during Sleep Time?
- How do Mobicip app time limits work on iOS devices?
Sleep Time helps your child wind down by limiting access to non-essential apps on their device.
Here’s what stays allowed:
On Android
The following apps remain accessible:
- Mobicip app
- Phone app (the app set as the default dialer)
- Contacts app
- Home
All other apps will be blocked until Sleep Time ends.
On iOS
Apple’s Screen Time settings you set on your child’s device also influence what remains accessible. The following apps stay allowed during sleep time:
Essential system apps:
Health, Wallet, Settings, Clock, Safari, Find My, Home, Fitness, Files, Compass, Magnifier, Watch, and Phone.
Apps you’ve added to the “Always Allowed” list
Any app added under Settings > Screen Time > Always Allowed will stay accessible.
Apps your child chooses to “Ignore Limit”
If Apple screen time limit is set for an app or app category (Settings > Screen Time > App Limits) and your child chooses “Ignore Limit” on the Apple’s screen time shield when the time is up, Apple allows continued access to the app or apps under the category.
Mobicip won’t be able to block such apps during Sleep Time, because Apple’s override takes priority. All other apps will be blocked until Sleep Time ends.
Pro Tip:
We recommend setting up a passcode to lock Screen Time settings on your child’s iOS device to prevent changes to the Always Allowed list and avoid any workarounds to Mobicip’s restrictions.
